One of my favorite childhood memories was heading down the 5 to my grandparent’s house on Balboa Island in Newport Beach. This meant days on the dock, playing in the water and on the boardwalk, hearing stories about our parents and uncles swimming the channel; but most importantly we would get to go to Dad’s to get chocolate covered frozen bananas. They are amazing and the perfect summer treat. I decided to make my own today, I know they won’t be as good but I will try!
Chocolate Covered Bananas:
Peel your bananas (however many you want)
Cut them in half horizontally
Insert popsicle or craft stick
Lay on parchment or wax paper
Freeze for at least 30 minutes
Melt chocolate on a double boiler
Roll in sprinkles or whatever toppings you desire
Mine certainly aren’t as pretty, but they sure are tasty!
