Hardware Bracelet

9 Jun
After seeing this DIY hex nut bracelet, I knew I had to try it out for myself. I convinced my mom and sister to join in on the fun and we each made one. I wore it out last night, and it was a huge success!

You’ll need:

Twine

18 brass hex nuts (we thought the more darker brass and smaller the better)

Steps:

Begin by cutting the twine in three yard long strands.

Tie the three strands together with a knot about 2 inches from the end.

Braid the strands of yarn for about 1.5 inches.

Before braiding the left strand add a hex nut to the strand, pushing it all the way up.

While holding the nut taught against the bottom of the braid bring the strand under the nut to continue to the braid.

Repeat on the right side, and then back to the left.

Continue until all 18 hex nuts have been used.

Braid about 3 more inches and tie off.

Wrap around your wrist twice and tie.

Voila!
