This is a special holiday for me, as my younger brother is currently serving in Afghanistan. Being that we couldn’t talk to him, I figured mini cupcakes would be my reminder to be thankful for all our troop; past, present, and future.

In the morning, I am always in need of a pick me up to assist in the daily springing to life. This morning I decided that in an effort to save money for our big trip, I would make cold brew coffee for the hubby and I so we don’t have to hit up the local Starbucks every morning. I’ll let you know how it turns out tomorrow.
In more nature-esque springing to life, my mom’s backyard has become a bird haven. We have been blessed to watch the little birdies hatch and continue to grow. Such fun!
